RICHARDSON, Texas – Central Washington University senior wide receiver and kick returner Samaje Featherstone made the most in his limited return opportunities on Saturday to earn the Lone Star Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after helping the 'Cats to their first-ever victory in San Angelo, taking down the Angelo State Rams 41-14.

Featherstone set a season-high for the LSC this season in kick return yards, making only three returns on the night but ran them back for a total of 127 yards including a huge 75-yard return in the fourth quarter. He added two more catches for 22 yards Saturday evening.

The Oakland, Calif. native has racked up 14 kick returns this season for a total of 350 yards averaging 25 yards per return and 70 yards per contest this season. He's added nine catches for 74 yards and two touchdowns.

Featherstone and the 'Cats will turn their attention to a huge matchup of two conference undefeated teams as CWU hosts the Midwestern State Mustangs (4-1, 3-0 LSC) for Homecoming this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. from Steve Hertling Field at Tomlinson Stadium.
