Box Score SEATTLE, Wash. - The Central Washington University Women's Soccer Team (0-3-2) traveled west to take on a Division I opponent in the Seattule University Redhawks (5-2-2). Despite the strong effort, it wasn't enough to stop the Redhawks offensive attack as they had 31 shot attempts opposed to the Wildcats four. The final result was 4-1 as the Redhawks came out on top on their home turf. 

First Half:

Seattle U scored two goals in the first half as they found shot attempts with ease early in the match up. Kailee Wilson was involved with both goals as she broke the game open at the 20 minute mark and followed it up at the 43 minute mark with an assist to Vivian Villareal. The Wildcats offense struggled to get in a groove against the Division I opponent as they only had one shot attempt take place in the first half. Leighton Menge minimized the scoring in the first half allowing only two goals with seven saves on 18 shots as she was kept busy in the goalie box. The Redhawks went into the second half with a comfortable 2-0 lead over the Wildcats.

Second Half:

The scoring in the second half got off to a quick start with Myah Polzin of Seattle U scoring at 51' and just eight minutes later, U'i Kaaihue dished the ball to Kyla Schuster for an assist and a goal. The Wildcats were able to find the back of the net late in the match up at the 75 minute mark as Mary-Jo Landon scored on a penalty kick pushing the score 4-1. Menge was subbed out at the end of the first half as she handed off the goalkeeping duties to Rhiannon Teasley. The sophomore came in and allowed two goals with five saves on 13 shots in her 45 minutes of play. The defense of the Wildcats were kept under duress all game by the Redhawks as they fall short 4-1 moving the 'Cats to 0-3-2 on the season.

Conferance play is next up for the wildcats as they will travel to Burnaby, British Columbia to take on Simon Fraser University with hopes of starting 1-0 in conference match ups.
