Kyle Baumgartner joined the Wildcat baseball program in the fall of 2013.
 
Baumgartner transferred to CWU from Edmonds Community College (WA) where he played for head coach and former Wildcat baseball player Scott Kelley. Baumgartner hit .246 as a freshman in 2012 with one double and seven runs batted in (RBI). In 2013, Baumgartner appeared in 41 games for the Tritons, batting .321 with six doubles, 11 RBI, and 6 stolen bases. Following the season he earned second team All-West Region honors in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC).
 
Baumgartner graduated from Enumclaw High School in Enumclaw, Washington. As a junior in 2010, he earned second team All-SPSL honors and earned a first team selection in his senior year of 2011.
 
Baumgartner was born in Seattle, Washington to parents Robert Baumgartner and Kim Peterson. He has one sister, Kate. Baumgartner is majoring in industrial technology at CWU.
