Biography

Rainier Beach High School: The six-foot point guard played four years of varsity basketball for the prep powerhouse Vikings, winning state championships as a freshman and junior, and played in the state title game in each of his campaigns.

As a senior, Shabazz averaged 15 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals, earning him second team honors in Seattle's talent-rich Metro League.  Shabazz scored 47 points in an overtime victory over O'Dea this past season, which was the second-highest scoring mark in school history behind San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray.

Shabazz was also a member of the 2013-14 Beach team that competed in the Dicks Sporting Goods High School National Tournament that crowned the nations true national champion.  The Vikings were the first school from the State of Washington to compete in the tournament.

Khalil, and his brother, Shadeed Shabazz (who also attended Rainier Beach), have totaled five state championships, which is the most in state history between brothers.
