Biography

2021: Started all 26 matches and played all 97 sets for the Wildcats... had 164 kills averaging 1.69 per set... had 17 digs... led the Wildcats 14 solo blocks and 85 block assists averaging 1.02 per set... earned GNAC All-Conference Honorable Mention... named to GNAC All-Academic Team. 

2020: Appeared in 3 matches for the Wildcats...had 15 kills averaging 1.50 per set...had 3 service aces...recorded 1 dig...had 9 blocks.

2019: Appeared in five matches for the Wildcats … played in seven sets … had five kills … had a hitting percentage of .273 … had two assists blocks … Member of the GNAC All-Academic Team

2018: Appeared in 12 matches for the Wildcats … Accumulated four kills … Had two total blocks.
 
Before CWU: Appeared in 20 sets as a freshman during the 2017 season at Eastern Washington, making four starts … Totaled 23 kills, including a career-high nine at Southern Utah (Oct. 7) … Registered a career-high .636 clip (7k-0e-11ta) in her first career start at Northern Arizona (Oct. 5) … Hit .309 for the entire season (23k-6e-55ta)… Recorded seven total blocks.

High School: Was a three-year starter and four-year varsity letter winner for the Kamiakin Braves … Named First Team All-Conference in 2015 and 2016 … Led Kamiakin to two district championships in 2015 and 2016 and a regional championship in 2014 …. Helped her team qualify for the state championships in 2014, 2015 and 2016 … Named an AAU Academic All-American in 2015... was a member of National Honors Society... coach youth volleyball at her local parks and recreation center. 

Why CWU?: "I chose CWU because of the culture of the athletics not only in volleyball but other sports as well. Mario has created a successful program that made it an easy choice when looking at schools in the GNAC. I also knew that Central had an amazing Education program and I wanted to be a teacher."

Personal: Daughter of Lisa & Michael Shymanski... has two brothers and one sister... pursuing her degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. Minoring in Teaching English as a Second Language.
