Bond enters his second year after joining the Wildcat staff in August of 2018. While with the Wildcats, he's been the primary contact for volleyball, cross country, women's basketball, softball and track and field. Currently, he is the primary contact for volleyball, cross country, and track & field. He also serves as the secondary contact for both men's and women's rugby.
While completing his undergrad at Pacific Lutheran University, Bond spent three years as a sports information assistant. Bond covered seasons for football, volleyball, women's soccer, men's basketball and baseball.
As a part of PLU student media, Bond became the creator and producer of the most listened to sports talk show in the history of the University, Half Athlete Radio. The show consisted of an hour of northwest sports talk and was syndicated through the Burg2, Central Washington's second student radio station.
Away from the University, Bond spent a year as a Sports Clerk at the Tacoma News Tribune. Bond reported on high school sports, and was the fourth most read author on March 5, 2017.
In the fall of 2017, he became the play-by-play voice for high school football and basketball broadcasts on 1180AM KLAY radio.
As a graduate student at CWU, Bond is studying athletic administration. He is in the process of completing a handbook for young professionals in athletic communications. The points of emphasis in the handbook include management, as well as internal and external communication.
