Malbert “Mal” Stewman oversees the operations of the Wildcat Academic Success Center and all its academic support services. He works alongside coaches, faculty and staff with the goal of creating the best possible academic experience for our student athletes at CWU.

Prior to joining Athletics, Stewman worked as a Diversity Officer at Central Washington University’s Center for Diversity and Social Justice.

Stewman is a former CWU football player who played under Hall of Fame coach Mike Dunbar. He graduated from Central Washington University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. He later added his Master of Science in Athletic Administration from CWU in 2012
