Central Washington University: (2014): In his first season at CWU Reay was the main battery mate for the Central pitchers playing in 24 games with 20 starts behind the plate...Reay posted a .303 batting average with 3 doubles, 1 homerun and 13 RBI's...After the season Reay earned second-team all-GNAC honors as a catcher...

Treasure Valley Community College: Reay transferred to CWU after three seasons at Treasure Valley Community College (OR). After redshirting for the Chukkars as a freshman, Reay appeared in 36 games in 2012, hitting .200 with six extra base hits and 10 runs batted in (RBI). Reay was a more significant force in 2013, batting .333 with nine doubles, two homeruns, 20 RBI, and five stolen bases. He helped Treasure Valley to 37 wins and the eastern region championship of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC). Following the season, Reay was named first team All-East Region and first team All-NWAACC.
 
High School: Reay graduated from Blackfoot High School in Blackfoot, Idaho. Reay was a three-sport athlete for the Broncos, letting twice in football and wrestling and three times in baseball.
