Coach Parling was named the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback Coach for the Wildcats in January, 2026.
Parling most recently served as the Offensive Coordinator at Upper Iowa University for three seasons. During his tenure with the Peacocks, he helped play a key role in the team's turnaround from a 3-8 season in 2023 to one of the team's most successful season in recent history in 2025, helping the Peacocks to a 9-3 record with a 6-2 GLVC record and an Albanese Candy Bowl victory over Hillsdale.
Parling's coaching career extends across multiple collegiate programs. Prior to his time at Upper Iowa, he worked with quarterbacks and offensive skill positions at Colorado State (2020-21) and Miami University (2018-19), gaining Division I experience and refining his offensive acumen. Before that, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Marian University, where he coached quarterbacks and wide receivers, helping the Knights to the 2015 NAIA Championship alongside Coach Power.
Parling is a 2015 graduate of Grand Valley State. As a player, Parling was a standout quarterback at Grand Valley State University, where he started for three seasons, throwing for over 7,000 yards to pair with 89 touchdowns. He was recognized as one of the nation's top Division II quarterbacks. He also served as a three-year captain and was a finalist for Division II Quarterback of the Year.
Parling holds a bachelor's degree in history from Grand Valley State, a master's in sport management from Colorado State, and a sport management certificate from Miami University.
