Biography

2021: Battled early-season injuries in his final CWU season but rebounded to appear in five games including Central’s NCAA Division II playoff game at Northwest Missouri State.

2020: Did not play in CWU’s only game at Montana.
 
2019: Played in 7 games, earning first-team All-GNAC accolades.
 
2018: Played in all 11 games earning a start in eight of them ... earned third-team All-GNAC honors.

2017:  Played in 12 games at various positions on the offensive line... earned his first career start at Dixie State.

2016: Redshirt

High School: 2016 graduate of Hockinson High School in Brush Prairie, Wash. … helped the Hawks to back-to-back 2A Great Saint Helens League championships, with both years the team making the quarterfinals ending the year with an 11-1 record ...  performance earned him GSHL 2A and Columbian All-Region first team honors, in addition to being named to the 2015 2A All-State team ... also a GSHL first-team selection as a junior ...  member of the honor roll in each of his first three years and a National Football Foundation Scholarship award winner.
 
Personal: Son of Thomas and Debra Ortner … born Oct. 17 … majoring in Communications and Sport Management … Central Washington University Academic Merit Award Recipient.
