Kris Groce

Groce joined the Wildcats' staff in the summer of 2020.

He was previously an Assistant Coach at Cal State Monterey Bay, where he was the academic coordinator for the Otters.  Groce also oversaw the management of scholarship packages, the scheduling of games, game contracts, and game day schedules, including meals and travel.  He also led the Otters' recruiting process.

In 2013, Groce began his coaching career at Eastern Oregon University.  During his time at EOU, Groce oversaw multiple aspects of the program, including serving as the Academic Advisor and organizing travel.  He also recruited Cascade Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year (2016) and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American (2017) Kentrell Washington and NAIA Second Team All-American Bryan McGriff.

Groce began his collegiate career at Columbia Basin College.  He earned East Region Most Valuable Player honors in 2004.  After transferring to Eastern Oregon University, Groce received NAIA All-American honors in 2009.  During the 2009 season he played a key role in the Mountaineers' run to a conference championship, advancing to the NAIA Elite Eight. Â
