CENTRAL WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY: Gary Jacobs joined the Wildcat basketball program in the fall of 2014 following two years with Pierce College of Lakewood, Wash.
PIERCE COLLEGE (2012-2014): During his two years at Pierce, Jacobs averaged 24.5 points per game and 5.5 rebounds. The team captain was named first-team all-Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges, first-team all-defense, all-playoff first-team, and the team Most Valuable Player.
HIGH SCHOOL: Jacobs attended Sierra Vista High School in Las Vegas. During high school, Gary played two seasons of varsity basketball and three on the football team.
PERSONAL: Jacobs was born in Las Vegas to mother, Kristina Costentina, and father; Gary Jacobs Sr. He will major in sociology at CWU. When he’s not playing basketball, Gary’s at home watching sports and playing video games. Although he does not have a favorite basketball team, his favorite player is LeBron James. Many people don’t know that Gary is obsessed with cereal. His favorite is “Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries.” His parents always make sure to have boxes of cereal stocked when he’s home. To get pumped for the game, Gary enjoys listening to Meek Mill’s “I Made A Million.”
