CENTRAL WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY: Joseph Stroud joined the Wildcat basketball program in the fall of 2014 from Highline Community College.
HIGHLINE COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Stroud played at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Wash., during the 2013-14 season. He was named to first-team Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC), first-team West Region, and West Region Defensive Player of the Year.
CENTRAL ARIZONA: During the 2011-2012 campaign, Stroud played at Central Arizona. In 24 games, he averaged 5.5 points and three rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Stroud played three years at Rainier Beach High School in Seattle.
PERSONAL: Stroud was born in Seattle to his parents, John and Sherry Stroud. He plans to major in physical education at CWU. Off the basketball court, Joseph enjoys playing NBA 2K as his favorite basketball player, Kevin Durant. Joseph says that his favorite NBA team is the Portland Trail Blazers because Seattle no longer has a team. You might run into Joseph at Wing Central, devouring a bucket of boneless, barbeque wings. Joseph gets hyped before going on the court by listening to Wiz Khalifa.
