Biography
2022-2023: Bowman started all 30 games for the Wildcats. Averaged 22.2 points, 14.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. Holds the GNAC record for most GNAC Player of the Week honors with nine after adding four more in the 2022-2023 season. Grabbed 46 blocks and 45 steals while leading the Wildcats to the second-round of the GNAC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. Scored a career-high and GNAC Tournament game record breaking 40-points in the first-round of the GNAC Tournament against Simon Fraser on March 2nd. Broke the GNAC single game record for rebounds in a game with 31 on December 17th against Whitman. Set and tied her own GNAC single game record of field goals made with 18 coming on December 19th against Walla Walla, then tying it on March 2nd against Simon Fraser. Set two GNAC individual season records: field goals made (269) and 30-point games (8), as well as tied her own GNAC individual season record of double-doubles (26) from the 2021-22 season. Holds the GNAC career record for rebounds with 1,219 rebounds. Set four single season CWU records: total points (665), scoring average (22.2), field goals made (269), and field goal attempts (495). Holds five career CWU records: field goals made (666), field goals attempted (1,230), rebounds (1,219), rebounding average (10.2), and games played (120). NCAA Statistical Champion for the second-straight season in double-doubles (26) and rebounding (15.9 per game), as well as recorded one triple-double coming against Alaska Anchorage on January 12th. Was named the GNAC Player of the Year as well as First-Team All-GNAC honors. Also earned, West Region First-Team, West Region All-Tournament Team, and D2CCA West Region Player of the Year. Earned WBCA, World Exposure Report, & D2CCA First-Tam All-American honors as well as being named the D2CCA Roy Lenz National Player of the Year. Following the conclusion of the season, signed professionally in Australia with the NBL1 North Rockhampton Cyclones.Â
2021-2022: Started all 30 games for the Wildcats. Averaged 16.2 points, 15.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Grabbed 57 blocks and 47 steals while leading Central to its first ever GNAC Tournament Championship and first ever West Regional win. Scored a season-high 29 points at Northwest Nazarene on December 11th. Broke the program record for single game rebounds with 23 in the season-opener on November 12th at Stanislaus State, then broke the record a second time with 29 rebounds at Concordia Irvine on December 18th. Her 29 rebound effort was the highest across all NCAA Divisions (I, II, III) this season. Broke the program and GNAC record for single-season total rebounds (477) and rebounding average (15.9). Led the nation across all NCAA Divisions (I, II, III) in rebounds per game (15.9), and had four 20-point and 20-rebound games this season. Finished fifth in the GNAC and 92nd in Division II in points per game (16.2). Led all of Division II with 26 double-doubles this season. Finished 32nd in Division II for blocks per game (1.9), and second in the GNAC in field goal percentage (.502). She also finished in the GNAC 11th in assists per game (2.9), 23rd in free throw percentage (.637), 11th in steals per game (1.6), and fifth in minutes played per game (33.1). She was named the 2021-22 GNAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, and was also named to the West Region All-Tournament Team. She earned First Team All-GNAC Honors, and was named First Team D2CCA All-Region. Named the Division II Statistical Champion in both Double-Doubles (26) and Rebounding (15.9 per game).
2020-2021 (Pandemic shortened): Started two of two games played. Played for 63 minutes. Made four of six free throws. Raked up 21 total rebounds, three blocks, and seven assists.
2018-2019: Appeared in 29 games for the Wildcats averaging 4.4 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game. She ranked ninth in conference in blocked shots. She scored a season-best eight points against Saint Martin’s on February 9, 2019 and pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds against CSU San Bernardino on November 17, 2018. She dished out four assists against Concordia (Ore.) on January 5, 2019. Had a season-best three blocks against CSU San Bernardino on November 17, 2018.
High School: At Zillah High School, Bowman averaged 11 points per game. Shot 60 percent from the field, 89 percent from the free-throw line, pulled down nine rebounds per game, and averaged two blocks per game. Also competed in volleyball and track & field. Was named All-CWAC twice for volleyball and is a three-time All-CWAC honoree for basketball. Named to the all-state tournament team in 2016 as well as being a two-time all-state all-star selection. She also earned all-conference in track in 2017. Academically, Bowman was a member of the Honor Society and a four-time honor roll honoree.
