Biography

High School: Graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 2011... Three-year letterman in football for the Hawks and head coach Tony Umayam... Honorable mention all-state (3A) selection as a senior... Selected to the Washington All-State Game... Earned all-area honors each of his final two seasons, including a first-team selection as a senior... Was a first-team all-Wesco South 3A honoree at linebacker as a junior and senior... Finished his senior season with a school-record 149 tackles, including 111 solo tackles, and eight tackles for losses... Also had four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 2010... Set a school record with 16 tackles in a single game... Also played varsity basketball for parts of three seasons.
 
College: Signed a National Letter of Intent with the Wildcats in February 2011...  Redshirted the 2011 season... Played in all 11 contests in 2012, recording six tackles, along with a pass defended, a second broken up and a quarterback hit... Started one and played in all 11 games in 2013, increasing his tackle total to eight... Had an eight-yard interception return, along with a second pass defended... In 2014, racked up 85 total tackles and tallied 4.5 sacks... Was also named an honorable mention All-GANC performer.
