Chloe Solum came to CWU in 2008 after a four year volleyball career at Division I North Dakota State University. She saw playing time in each season for the Bison and started in all 30 games as a senior averaging 2.79 kills per set.
Since her arrival in Ellensburg the Wildcats have enjoyed a 96-64 record and have appeared in the NCAA Division II West Regional Tournament in each of the past two seasons.
Solum assists head coach Mario Andaya in all facets of the program and is the primary coach for passers, liberos, and outside hitters. Since 2008, the Wildcats have produced seven all-conference players from those respected positions, and four all-region accolades.
In addition to her coaching, Solum is in charge of video coordination, which includes the break down of opponent video. She is also the recruiting and travel coordinator for the program.
in 2013 Solum recieved the Thirty Under 30 award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. This award was created to honor thirty of the top up-and-coming volleyball coaches 30 years old or younger in the sport.
