High School:  Deming was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain at Blaine High School under head coach Bryan Clausen, where she helped the Borderites to a 15-9-2 overall record … A 2017 Second Team All-Conference selection, Deming recorded 96 kills, a .189 hitting percentage, eight service aces, 96 digs, and eight total blocks as a senior … She has also been named the Blaine High School Athlete of the Year as a junior (2017) and earned the Whatcom County Sportsmanship Award ... Deming also excelled in other athletic endeavors, including throwing the javelin and playing basketball … As a junior, she placed fifth at state in the javelin after breaking the school record in the event … Deming was a four-year letterwinner for basketball, where she was voted captain her sophomore, junior and senior years … She also has received two varsity letters for softball ... Academically, Deming has been a member of the National Honor Society for four years and has accumulated a 3.9 GPA … She also received awards for academic excellence in 11th grade English (2017), World History (2016), and Biology (2015).
