Biography
CENTRAL WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY: (2013) Lauren Herseth appeared in all 27 matches for the Wildcats as a defensive specialist during her junior season. She made made 12 starts and ranked third on the team with 255 total digs registering 10 or more digs in 13 matches. The Olympia native had a season-high 21 digs in the Wildcats' five-set win over Seattle Pacific on Oct. 10. She earned her second consecutive Academic All-GNAC honor.
(2012) Herseth played in all 29 matches while being used primarily as a defensive specialist. She accumulated 216 digs and was second on the team with 34 service aces.
(2011) As a freshman played in 21 of the Wildcats’ 26 matches totalling 60 digs on the season.
OLYMPIA HIGH SCHOOL: Herseth graduated from Olympia High School in Olympia, Wash., in 2011. A four-year letter winner for the Bears and head coach Laurie Creighton. She earned all-state honors and was named the Narrows League Most Valuable Player as a senior.
PERSONAL: Herseth was born in Olympia, Wash., to Brian and Linda Herseth. She has an older brother, Michael. Herseth is a physical education & school health major.
