Decker joined the Wildcats’ staff as the Assistant Athletic Trainer in September 2016. Previously, he spent the past two years as a graduate assistant in the Central Washington athletic training office.
He is the primary certified athletic trainer for volleyball and women’s softball.
In May 2016, Decker served as the athletic trainer for the High School Girl’s National Championship hosted by USA Rugby. In August 2015, he served as the athletic trainer for the Women’s Junior All-American Can-Am Series, hosted by USA Rugby.
During spring 2013, Decker worked with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League, including the New York Islanders’ 2011 5th round draft pick Brenden Kichton.
While at Whitworth, Decker worked with athletes from 20 NCAA Division III sports, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, softball, swimming, track and field, cross country, and men’s and women’s tennis. He was the head ATS assigned to men’s soccer from fall 2013 through spring 2014.

Decker holds a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Whitworth University and a Master of Science in exercise science from Central Washington University. He resides in Ellensburg.
