The recently named GNAC Freshman of the Year, CWU guard Khalil Shabazz put on a clinic in Central’s overtime loss to Saint Martin’s last Thursday in the first round of the GNAC Tournament. Shabazz led the Wildcats with 23 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and four steals. From the field, he finished 7-for-13, including a 2-for-3 mark from beyond the arc. Shabazz closed out the 2017-18 season ranked second in the GNAC in steals (2.4/game), ninth in scoring (15.3 points/game), ninth in assists (3.2/game), and 18th in rebounding (5.1/game).
