QUICK NOTES
CENTRAL'S ROAD TRIP CONTINUES: Game three of the Wildcats' 19-game season will also be the third straight road contest for CWU. Central opens the year with five straight games away from Ellensburg, but following their Sept. 16 conference opener at Northwest Nazarene, the Wildcats will play five of their next six (and six of their next eight) at the CWU Soccer Field as they tackle their Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule.

LAST-MINUTE OPPONENT CHANGE: Central Washington's neutral-site opponent on Saturday was a late change on the schedule as the Wildcats, including head coach Michael Farrand, originally believed they were to face Metro State on Saturday in Hansen Stadium. Instead, CWU will have its first-ever against another of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's nationally-ranked teams, #22 Mesa State.

SCORING DROUGHT: Senior Kaycie Hutchins (Port Orchard, Wash./Bellarmine Prep) got the 2010 season off on the right foot (literally) with a goal 37 seconds into the campaign at Chico State last Saturday, but Central Washington.has not scored since that opening minute in falling to Chico 2-1 and at San Francisco State, 1-0 in double overtime.

WILDCAT WOMEN'S SOCCER BLOG: Be sure to check out the 2010 Wildcat Women's Soccer Blog, with comments from tri-captains Hutchins, Hillary Franks (Yakima, Wash./West Valley HS), and Ellie Eckroth (Auburn, Wash./Auburn Mountainview HS), throughout the season. NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE: The Wildcats face Dixie State in a 1 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time (noon Pacific) on Monday, Sept. 13.
