	ELLENSBURG (Sept. 8) -- Central Washington University forwards Carson McKole (Oak Harbor) and Brittany Franks (Yakima/West Valley HS) each scored a goal to help the women's soccer team to a 2-2 tie against Northwest University Thursday evening at the CWU Soccer Field. 
	Central now stands with a 1-1-2 record, and has played four consecutive overtime games to start the 2011 season.  
	Northwest scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick, which was awarded after a Wildcat foul inside the penalty box in the 10th minute of the first half.
	 
	The Wildcats ended the first period in dramatic fashion, as senior Miranda Heslep (Bellingham/Meridian HS) found McKole on the left side of the Eagles' goal box, where she scored from six yards out with just four seconds left in the half to tie the match at 1-1.
	CWU took a 2-1 advantage just over 15 minutes into the second half as Franks scored from two yards out on a cross from McKole. Northwest evened the match at 2-2 in the 76th minute on a goal by Rachel Saleen.
	
	The Wildcat offense was the aggressor in the two overtime periods, where they outshot the Eagles by a 6-1 margin, with four of those shots being on goal. 
	Overall, Central Washington had a 23-15 advantage in shots, marking the first time this season that the Wildcats finished a game with more shots than their opponent.
	The Wildcats will next open Great Northwest Athletic Conference play as they travel to Canada to play Simon Fraser on Thursday (Sept. 15) at 7 p.m.
