Box Score ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Jan. 18) -- The Central Washington's men's basketball team was able to hold off The University of Alaska Anchorage for an 95-88 win on Saturday night. JB Pillard (Juanita HS) led all scorers with 23 points on the evening.
Pillard also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, which means he has recorded a double-double in three consecutive games. Senior
MARK MCLAUGHLIN (Inglemoor HS) poured in 22 points, and eclipsed the 1,000-point plateau as he now sits with 1,009 total points scored in his career. McLaughlin's point total ranks 15th all-time, but is second most among two-year players at Central Washington University.
With the win the Wildcats now stand with a 8-7 record, and a 4-3 mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference Play. Alaska Anchorage fell to 10-8, 3-4 in GNAC.
Central Washington held a small 45-44 advantage heading into intermission. The Wildcat's shot a scorching 58.1 percent in the half and was a perfect 7 of 7 from the free throw line.
The Wildcat offense was even more impressive in the second-half where they shot 61.3 percent (19 of 31), connecting on 6 of 12 three-point opportunities. Central Washington didn't trail the Seawolves very often in the second-half, as they held the lead for the final 16 minutes and 32 seconds of the period.

JORDAN RUSSELL who scored 15 points, making 7 of his 11 shots in the game.Â
Alaska Anchorage had two players score 20 or more points as Travis Thompson and Brian McGill had 22 and 20 points respectively.
