ELLENSBURG, Wash. (Oct. 26) – With a Great Northwest Athletic Conference postseason season berth clinched, the Central Washington University soccer team looks to hang on to second place in the GNAC in the final week of regular season play.

The Wildcats clinched a postseason berth after their win over Northwest Nazarene on Senior Day and a little help from Simon Fraser, who notched a win over Concordia.

The final two games of the regular season are on the road for Central, as the Wildcats travel to Concordia on Thursday (Oct. 27) and Saint Martin's on Saturday (Oct. 29).

Concordia is sitting in fifth place in the GNAC, just three points behind Simon Fraser and Seattle Pacific.  The Cavaliers have only lost once at home in their last 40 home matches at Tuominen Yard.

Goalkeeper Olivia Brock leads the GNAC in save percentage at .892 and has posted a 0.56 goals-against average.

Defensively, the Cavaliers have conceded the second-fewest goals in the GNAC this season.  Only once in the last five seasons has an opposing team scored multiple goals against Concordia at home.

"Concordia is a tough team," CWU Head Coach Mike Farrand said.  "We've had some really tough games there.  Grant has done a great job preparing his team and they've had some great results this year.  Portland is a tough place to play and it's their Senior Day."

Following Thursday's match against Concordia, the Wildcats head to Lacey, Washington to take on Saint Martin's.

The Saints are 2-5-0 at home, with wins over Western Oregon and Montana State Billings.  They play the Wildcats on Senior Day and look to level the season series at 1-1, after falling to Central in Ellensburg on Oct. 13.

"We were able to sneak it out at our place," Farrand noted.  "But it's their final game and they play tough at home."

The last time the two sides met the Wildcats came away with a 3-2 victory on a wet day.  Mackenzie Nolte notched a pair of goals.

Central is currently fourth in the West region and is receiving votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 Poll.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday and noon on Saturday.
