ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Members from the Central Washington University cross country team are headed east for the SFCC Sasquatch Invite in Spokane, Washington on Friday.

"This weekend, we'll be deciding who is going to get those last couple of spots for the conference meet," CWU Head Coach 
Kevin Adkisson said. "It'll hopefully be a good course for that group to wrap up their season. The main group will be training this week before we enter into our final phase. We'll be focusing on quicker paces to try and reach our goals for conference." 
WWU CLASSIC
The Wildcats hustled to 10th place finishes at the WWU Classic last Saturday morning. Tough competition converged on Bellingham, Wash. for the WWU Classic. Team's from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and the entire western region set out to see who was superior on Saturday. On the men's side, just eight minutes separated top-finishing Chico State from the 14th place Seattle Running Club. 
The Wildcat men took home 10th place. As a team, they scored 247 points. The Wildcat point scorers averaged a time of 34:06. 
Trevor Allen has emerged as the team's leader. The junior out of Lake Stevens, Wash. is putting together a strong season. That continued on Saturday. Allen placed 33rd overall in an effort that led the Wildcats. He finished with a time of 33:07.3.
The Wildcat pack was more strung out than it had been over the past few races. 
Henry Milodragovich had a nice run, taking 69th place with a time of 34:00.4. 
Donovan Barnhart was the next closest Wildcat in 76th place with a time of 34:15.7.
Rounding out the scorer's for the Wildcats were 
Rajesh Gill and 
Mateo Rivera. Gill took 81st with a time of 34:23.6 while Rivera grabbed 93rd with a time of 34:46.7. 
On the women's side, the Wildcats also brought home 10th. The group scored 221 points and averaged a time of 23:37.84. 
Lily Tyrrell was the top scorer for the Wildcat women. Tyrrell ran the 6k course in 23:18.5. The time landed her in 46th place overall.

Madison Child and 
Caitlin Gohr used each other to set their pace throughout the race. Matron brought home 52nd place with a time of 23:35.2. Child finished just two spots behind Mattson and had a time of 23:39.4. Gohr finished one spot behind Child as she clocked a 23:41.3. 
Delaney Clem rounded out the top-five finishers for the Wildcats. Clem took 59th, posting a time of 23:54.8.
UP NEXT
The season has been building to the Wildcats' next meet. They travel to Billings, Montana to compete at the Great Northwest Athletic Championships. The meet takes place on Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. PT.
