ELLENSBURG, Wash.- The Central Washington University cross country teams return to action this week with a pair of meets in the Pacific Northwest. The Wildcats will open competition at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon on Friday, before traveling to Seattle for the Emerald City Open on Saturday. CWU will be represented by eight men and eleven women at the Dellinger Invitational, while ten women are set to compete in the Emerald City Open.

The Crimson and Black competed at the Bill Roe Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27, hosted by Western Washington University. The women's team secured a third-place finish with 91 points, while the men's team placed fifth, scoring 140 points.
On the women's side,
Payton Conover led the Wildcats with a 14th-place finish, clocking a time of 5:52.0.
Lillian Neff followed close behind in 19th at 5:54.5.
Maddy Harrison (22nd, 5:55.7) and
Katie Manly (23rd, 5:59.7) were next across the line, with
Hannah Pidduck (28th, 6:05.7) and
Araceli Esquivel (29th, 6:09.6) not far behind.
Julie Johnson rounded out the team's top seven, placing 30th in 6:09.7.
Additional strong performances came from
Helayna Bonilla (32nd, 6:12.7),
Camryn Holterhoff (35th, 6:14.8), and
Dawn Hulstedt (37th, 6:16.0).
Paige Huntsinger also finished inside the top 50, placing 41st with a time of 6:17.5.
On the men's side,
Kellen McInelly paced the Wildcats with a 16th-place finish, crossing the line in 4:58.1.
Ares Van Straaten took 24th with a time of 5:01.7, while
Dima Serafimovici followed in 29th at 5:03.2. Rounding out the team's top five were
Charles Naught (56th, 5:11.8) and
Ethan Moore (57th, 5:12.0).
