SPOKANE, Wash. - Members of the Central Washington University cross country team competed at the Sasquatch Invite hosted by Spokane Falls Community College on Friday. 

"It was a pretty solid day, especially for the ladies on a whole," CWU Head Coach Kevin Adkisson said. "They had a good, solid pack and competed well. Katherine Anderson, one of our freshman earned one of the last spot for the conference meet next weekend. The pack was fast and worked together really well. We're pleased with what they did. They had a strong, solid day."

The Wildcat women put together a fourth place finish at the Sasquatch Invite. As a team, they tallied 85 points, falling just two points shy of host school SFCC. The Wildcats put together a successful pack race.

Katherine Anderson led the Wildcats with a time of 20:00.4. The spot was good enough for 20th place. Jenna Heesacker took 21st with a time 20:05.3. Samantha DuPras wound up in 22nd with a time of 20:13.4. Zoie Mastin hustled to a 23rd place finish. Her time was 20:21.8. Rounding out the Wildcat scorers was Alexa Neff. She brought home 24th with a time of 20:30.4. 

Kay Lester and Meredith Massey finished in 28th and 29th. Lester had a time of 20:38.6 while Massey finished the course in 20:42.2. Hailey Bullis and Kiersten Kimminau brought home 32nd and 33rd. Bullis ran the race in 21:36.7 while Kimminau finished in 22:31.8. Erika Hettick brought home 35th with a time of 23:13.4. 

Ethan Lapic was the only male competitor for the Wildcats on Friday. Lapis took 47th place with a time of 28:41.9. 

Up next, the Wildcats travel to Billings, Montana for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships. The meet takes place on Oct. 26.
