GAME INFORMATION
Saturday, October 19
vs Seattle Pacific
4:00 p.m.
Tomlinson Stadium
Ellensburg, Washington
QUOTABLE
"For us, considering the duct tape and glue we have holding the back line together, it's about defense first," CWU Head Coach Michael Farrand said.  "We are pretty good going forward, but we need to play better defense across the field. APU started tough, but have turned this around in conference play. Western, Seattle Pacific, and Concordia are the teams we need to measure ourselves against and get points off of."
SCOUTING SEATTLE PACIFIC
The Falcons enter Saturday with a 7-5-0 overall record and a 5-1-0 mark in GNAC play.
In their most recent outing, Seattle Pacific hung a trio of goals on Saint Martin's to take a 3-1 victory. The Falcons and Saints were tied 0-0 through 45 minutes, before Taylor Menkens gave SPU a 1-0 advantage in the 52nd minute.  Chloe Gellhaus added the brace in the 60th minute. The Saints goal from Maddison Maffeo cut the deficit to one, but Gellhaus added a second marker to reinstate the two-goal lead.
Seattle Pacific lost three of their first five games on the season. Since then, however, the Falcons have gone 5-3-0. Their lone GNAC loss came against Western Oregon.
Gellhaus is now tied for the team lead in goals with four, after burying two against Saint Martin's.  Atop the leaderboard with Gellhaus is Sierra Smith. Just behind with three goals is Sophia Chilzuk.
As a team, the Falcons have scored 20 goals and allowed just 10. Riley Travis has handled the majority of the duties in goal, starting nine games. She has allowed just seven goals and posted a goals against average of 0.86, while turning aside 19 shots on 63 shots faced.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats went down 2-0 to Simon Fraser before scoring three unanswered goals for a 3-2 victory.
Molly Edvalds buried the Wildcats' first goal on an assist from Madison Hinkel. Paige Devine leveled the score at 2-2 with a crafty lofted shot which eluded the keeper. An attempted clearance later in the second half was blocked by Madison Bradley, who played a pass through the box for Teanna Lathum. Her shot didn't miss and sent the Wildcats home with a victory.
CWU v SPU History
Since 2002, the Wildcats and Falcons have met 35 times, with SPU taking 25 victories. Central's last regular season win over Seattle Pacific came on Sept. 24, 2016 in a 1-0 win. Mackenzie Nolte scored the only goal of the game in the 83rd minute.
The Wildcats also defeated Seattle Pacific on November 10, 2016 in the NCAA Regionals Opening Round. Whitney Lowe scored a pair of goals as the Wildcats advanced with a 2-1 victory.
