Soccer Travels to NNU for GNAC Matchup

ELLENSBURG, Wash. — The Central Washington University women's soccer team travels to Northwest Nazarene University for a Great Northwest Athletic Conference matchup.

MATCH INFORMATION
At Northwest Nazarene
7:00 p.m. MT (6:00 p.m. PT)
Nampa, Idaho

QUOTABLE
"For a full 90 minutes against SPU, I though we were fantastic," CWU Head Coach Michael Farrand said.  "The question is can we follow up and go down to NNU and get the results we want.  Mary [Trigg] continues to build a great program and has great girls.  We will need to match their work rate and play solid defense.  It's what we did against SPU.  I'm simply amazed by the effort they put in."

SCOUTING NORTHWEST NAZARENE | SCHEDULE | ROSTER | 2019 STATS | 2018 STATS

The Nighthawks were victims of a cruel twist of fate against Concordia (Ore.).  After playing 90 minutes of 0-0 soccer, the Cavaliers were able to claim a golden goal victory without scoring a goal.  After forcing a turnover deep in the Nighthawks' end, the Cavaliers sent a service into the box.  A Nighthawks' defender attempted to play the service, but it caromed off her leg and into the back of the net.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats fell in a 1-0 overtime loss to Seattle Pacific.  The Falcons scored just 1:54 into the first overtime period.

Teanna Lathum nearly put the Wildcats up 1-0 early in the first half.  She got in on a breakaway and rung the far post with an effort on goal.  Sophia Keenan had a pair of chances near the half-hour mark, but both of her shots just missed.
