PROVO, UT.— The Wildcats take down the Cougars for the second time this season, 26-8.
QUOTABLE
"As predicted, BYU was even tougher the second time around. They caught us out of position on more than one occasion and pinned us deep with well placed tactical kicks." CWU Head Coach
Trevor Richards said. "Wet, cold, and snowy conditions hampered ball movement and handling was an issue for both sides. The second half was much better from our team and we managed to use our physicality to get us going forward and string together phases and improve our continuity. It wasn't the prettiest win of the season, but we're pleased that our players were able to gut out a win against a tough opponent in poor conditions."
ANOTHER DOMINANT OUTING
The Wildcat's kicked off the first half with a try by
Tessa Hann, followed up by
Mikayla Roberts with a successful conversion. The Wildcats jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. A penalty kick by the Cougars would be the last of the scoring for the first half, Wildcats held it 7-3.
