BILLINGS, Mont.— The Central Washington University baseball team won both games today in Billings against the Montana State University Billings Yellowjackets. The wins today propel the Wildcats into the #3 seed for the GNAC conference tournament.

Austin Ohland got the scoring going for the 'Cats with a double scoring
Mitch Lesmeister. The 'Jackets scored quickly in the 2
nd to tie the game 1-1.
The 'Cats offense was quickly back at it in the third inning.
Mitch Lesmeister singled through the left side driving in
Zach Berryman and
Adam Fahsel.
Tyler McClain had a productive out, scoring
Michael Copeland to extend the lead.
Michael Peter followed suit with another groundball to score Lesmeister. The 'Cats extended their lead 5-1 after three.
The 'Jackets scraped another across in the fourth on a fielder's choice. The offense remained quiet until the third inning where are a double from the bat of
Michael Copeland scored
Trevor Tripoli. The seventh inning was the
Austin Ohland show with a solo shot to dead center to keep extending the lead.
In the eighth inning
Michael Copeland was able to score on an error by the 'Jackets.
Austin Ohland singled just after scoring Lesmeister. The 'Jackets added two more in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run home run and a fielder's choice.
In the top of the ninth the 'Cats added another insurance run on an RBI walk to
Adam Fahsel scoring
Michael Peter. The 'Jackets tacked on four more in the bottom of the ninth but fell at the hands of the 'Cats, 12-9.
GAME 2 – CENTRAL WASHINGTON 3 | MONTANA STATE BILLINGS 1
Game two started off slow for both teams. The 'Jackets found the plate first in the fourth inning with a home run by Cipriano.
Jake Engel singled through the left side to drive in
Trenton Love who reached base on a hit-by-pitch. The 'Cats had found their stride as Engel scored on a wild pitch just after a base hit by
Adam Fahsel put him on third.
Mitch Lesmeister hit a fly ball that drove in Fahsel just before the third out. The 'Cats had taken the lead 3-1.
The 'Cats held off the 'Jackets in the seventh inning to close out the game. 'Cats complete the day two sweep winning 3-1.
The Wildcats host Saint Martin's University next week for their final regular season series.
