Wildcats to Continue Road Trip: Set to Face Falcons, Nighthawks

SEATTLE, Wash. - Looking to maintain their momentum from last week's results, the Wildcats will continue their road trip, making stops in Seattle, Wash. and Nampa, Id.
 
They'll first battle the Seattle Pacific Falcons who own a record of 6-3-1, 4-2 in the GNAC. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Interbay Stadium. The Falcons most recently suffered a 0-1 loss to Western Washington last Saturday, Oct 1.
 
The Falcon offense is scoring almost 1.5 goals per game while allowing only one goal per game on defense.
 
The leading SPU goal-scorer is Chloe Gellhaus. She's found the back of the net three times on the season. She also leads the team in shots and shots on goal. Four other Falcons have scored twice this season.
 
Mercedes Cullen has played almost every minute in goal for Seattle Pacific this year, giving up nine goals and recording 39 saves.
 
The Wildcats are slated to face the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 12:00 p.m. in Nampa, Id. The Nighthawks don a 6-1-3 record, 4-0-2 in the GNAC.
 
CWU and NNU faced off earlier this season at Tomlinson Stadium. The Wildcats suffered an 0-2 defeat and will look to bounce back and even the season series between the schools.
 
The Nighthawks are averaging 1.7 goals per game and have only allowed eight goals all season. Madison Grande leads the Nighthawk attack with six goals, 36 shots and 17 shots on goal.
 
Alexis Montoya has started nine of their 10 matches in goal, allowing seven goals and recording 27 saves.
 
The Wildcats enter the weekend with a 2-5-3, 1-3-2 record. Last weekend, the Wildcats traveled to Western Oregon, resulting in a scoreless draw. They then made the trip up to Saint Martin's and escaped Lacey, Wash. with a 2-1 win.
 
The Wildcats have scored seven goals on the season, led by Emily Darcy and Jordan Bartlow with two each. In goal, Kassandra Jaggard has started in eight games for the Wildcats. She's allowed 12 goals and recorded 40 saves.
