LEWISTON, Id. - The Central Washington University cross country team competed at the LC State Warrior Invitational on Saturday with the men's team coming in 5th place and the women's team in 7th.
"A pretty solid day on the whole," Head Coach
Kevin Adkisson said. "Ty [Savely] had a great day, really looked solid cracking into the top 20. The women's pack is coming along, they're working together and running strong."

Leading the men's team was
Ty Savely, who finished the 8k with a time of 25:22, good for 15th place. Savely set a PR with his run and was the fastest non-Division I athlete in the field

Shawn Clough and
Jack Pratapas finished 2nd and 3rd for the team, respectively.

Rosie Melville recorded a time of 20:00 for the women's team, the fastest time for the 'Cats, good 37th place in the 5k.

Finishing with a time of 20:05,
Tailer Cochran set a new PR and ended second for CWU.
Madison Thompson rounded out the top three and also set a new PR with a time of 20:07.

On Oct. 22, the Wildcats will travel to Chambers Bay, Wash. for the NCAA Pre-National Meet hosted by Seattle Pacific University.
