Nighthawks Shutout Wildcats On The Road

NAMPA, Id. – The Central Washington University women's soccer team wrapped up a four-game road trip on Saturday when they squared off with the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks, losing by a score if 0-4.
 
The Wildcats kept things close early in the first half but the NNU got on the board first with a goal by Ashley Parton 27 minutes into the match. Parton squeezed the shot through a few defenders hitting the upper left corner for the goal.
 
The 'Cats ended the first half with three shots and one save, allowing one goal from the Nighthawks. Northwest Nazarene finishes with one goal and two saves, getting eight shots off on the Wildcats.
 
The Nighthawks come out of the half ready needing only three minutes to get their first goal of the second half. Madison Grande off the assist from Alejandra Jaramillo put the ball in the upper left corner making it 2-0 NNU.
 
The 'Cats continue to fight but surrender the third goal to the Nighthawks in the 60th minute. Yacine Bitibale, assisted by Sierra Sanchez, squeezed the ball into the lower right corner to make it 3-0.
 
NNU added another two minutes later. Kailyn LaBrosse assisted Allison Wolf with a shot to the lower right again making the score 4-0.
 
CWU finished with six shots and three saves, allowing four goals. NNU finishes with four goals on 15 shots, having three saves allowing zero goals.
 
Cassidie Andrews, Lily Newberry, Emily Darcy, Jordan Bartlow, Maggie McBroom and Sofia Flores were the shot-takers for the Wildcats.
 
The Nighthawks poured it on in the second half. Although the 'Cats never quit and continued to fight, the Nighthawks held on to take it 4-0.
