LACEY, Wash. – Central Washington remained composed through a rain delay to open the afternoon with a 9-1 win over Saint Martin's. The Saints rallied to take the night cap in a similar 9-1 fashion, thus taking the Great Northwest Athletic Conference series 3-1 over the Wildcats on Saturday.
The series loss gives Central a 13-32 overall record with a 7-20 mark in GNAC play. The Saints move up to 18-27 overall and 13-15 in the GNAC.
"That was a great outing by Miliman in game one," Central Washington Head Coach
Desi Storey said. "We just struggled on the mound in game two."
Zach Berryman led the Wildcats offense this afternoon hitting a combined four-for-eight with one run scored.

Adam Fahsel, and
Charlie Larson all scored for two runs each in game one.
Hunter Kosmider and Reid Little provided three-hit days for Saint Martin's. Kosmider finished a combined three-for-seven with two runs and four runs batted in (RBI). Little finished three-for-five with two runs.
Game One: Central Washington 9, Saint Martin's 1
The Wildcats offense got hot quickly, scoring one in the second inning on a ground ball to the second baseman off of the bat of
Michael Peter. Central tacked on three more in the third inning on a series of errors by the Saints, jumping to a quick 4-0 lead.
Austin Ohland doubled in the fourth inning to add two more runs after a trio of walks loaded the bases. The Wildcats led 6-0 after four innings.
Central Washington found two more runs after a walk and an error from the Saints, extending the lead 8-0.
While the action came to halt for a thirty-minute rain delay after the fifth inning, Nolan Miliman (2-3) remained unfazed while carrying the Wildcats on the mound. The freshman picked up his second win after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing just one earned run on nine scattered hits.
The Saints finally got on the board in the seventh, scoring just one run after loading the bases. Fahsel responded the following inning, scoring Berryman from first base on a double down to the left field corner.
Drew Richardson came in on relief in the eighth, giving up one walk and no hits through the final innings as the Wildcats won the game 9-1.
Game Two: Central Washington 1, Saint Martin's 9
The Saints struck in the first frame, scoring on a lead-off walk followed by a passed ball, wild pitch, and a ground ball to first base.
Central answered in the second inning after
Michael Copeland came around to score after back-to-back singles. Saint Martin's responded in the bottom of the inning, picking up three runs and pushing the lead to 4-1.
A crooked five-run third inning dug a deeper hole for Central, lifting the Saints lead to 9-1.
Beau Kearsey (0-4) gave CWU a fighting chance, pitching the final 3.1 innings of relief and allowing just one hit and one walk. Unable to find any more offense, the Wildcats dropped game two to the Saints 9-1.
Cole Hatton (2-3) picked up the win for SMU after allowing just a single earned run through 5.0 innings on five hits, one walk, and seven strikeouts.
