ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Central Washington University women's soccer team will take on the Western Washington Vikings and the Simon Fraser Red Leafs later this week at home.

On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Vikings will travel to Tomlinson Stadium. WWU enters with a 3-1-2 record. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The Vikings most recently beat #19 Western Oregon by a score of 3-2. WWU has scored 11 goals on the season, led by Claire Potter with three. The Viking offense is averaging close to two goals a game and over 15 shots a game.

On defense, WWU has allowed six goals on the season, posting two shutouts so far.

The Wildcat's second match of the weekend comes on Saturday, Sept. 24, at noon when the 'Cats take on the Red Leafs. SFU currently has a 1-2-3 record, most recently tying Saint Martin's 0-0.

The Red Leafs have scored four goals on the season so far and are averaging eight shots a game. SFU has four different goal scorers.

The Red Leaf's defense has allowed seven goals on the year, recording 22 saves. Opposing teams are averaging 12 shots a game against SFU.

The Wildcats enter the weekend with a 1-4-1 record. The CWU offense is averaging just over eight shots a game but is struggling to find the back of the net with only two goals on the year.
