Tia Andaya broke the GNAC career record for triple-doubles with her performance last Thursday against the Western Oregon Wolves.

In the match, Andaya finished with 14 kills, 23 assists and 13 digs, clinching her 10th career triple-double and the record. She was only one dig shy of tacking on her 11th triple-double with her performance at Saint Martin's on Saturday, registering 17 kills, 19 assists and nine digs.

She eclipsed the previous record of nine triple-doubles set by Northwest Nazarene's Mindy Swanson between 2001 and 2003.

In 2021, Andaya set the single-season record with a total of eight triple-doubles last year.

This year, she has an attacking percentage of .306 through 11 matches. Andaya's averaging 2.78 kills, 5.00 assists, 1.88 digs and 0.80 blocks per set. She already has two triple-doubles so far.

For the first time all season, the Wildcat's next action will be at home as they take on the MSU Billings Yellowjackets this Thursday, Sept. 22, at the SURC. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.
