Wildcats Hit the Road; Set to Take On Wolves, Saints

MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Central Washington University women's soccer team finds themselves on the road again, taking on the Western Oregon Wolves and the Saint Martin's Saints this weekend.
 
First, the 'Cats will take on the Wolves this Thursday, Sept. 29, at 1:30 p.m. WOU currently has a 4-2-2, 1-2-1 record and has spent multiple weeks in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll this season.
 
The Wolves have fallen out of the Top 25 as the team has sputtered recently, going 0-2-1 in their last three games. WOU is averaging 1.5 goals per game, led by Briana Kubli, Chloe Smith, Savannah Taylor, and Leeci Snyder who have two goals each. In goal, Olivia Holdenried has registered 35 saves in seven games played.
 
On Saturday, Sept. 24, the 'Cats will travel back into Washington for a battle against the Saints. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. SMU has a 3-3-1, 1-2-1 record on the season.
 
The Saints have 10 goals so far, an average of 1.43 a game, led by Rayvn Mummey and Maria Pagnotta who have two goals each. Ali Campigotto has started at goalkeeper recently for the Saints, allowing three goals and recording 21 saves in three games played.
 
CWU enters the weekend with a 1-5-2, 0-3-1 record. Last Saturday, Sept. 24, the Wildcats drew against Simon Fraser 3-3 in an offensive battle. The 'Cats will look to maintain the offensive rhythm they found against the Red Leafs.
