COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Central Washington University women's soccer team (1-1) travels to Colorado for matches against Colorado Springs and MSU Denver.

On Wednesday, Sept. 7, the 'Cats will take on the Colorado Springs Mountain Lions at 6:30 p.m. The Mountain Lions enter the matchup 3-1, with their only loss coming against #3 Dallas Baptist.

In 2021, Colorado Springs posted a 19-4 overall record. Wednesday's matchup will be the first in program history against the Mountain Lions.

CWU will take on the Metropolitan State University of Denver Roadrunners in Denver, Colo. The Wildcats and Roadrunners will collide at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.

The Roadrunners enter the match with a 2-1-1 record. In 2021, MSU Denver posted a 10-6-2 record but fell to Colorado Springs in their opening match of the playoffs.

The Wildcats currently have a 1-1 record. They opened their season against Chico State on Sept. 1 and lost 0-2. But, the team responded convincingly on Sept. 3, winning 2-1 over San Francisco State.

Emily Darcy scored both goals for the Wildcats against San Francisco State, including an 81st-minute game-winner. Additionally, she leads the team in shots (8). She won GNAC Offensive Player of the Week for her performances across the weekend.
