SEATTLE, Wash. - The Central Washington University track & field team concluded their scheduled indoor season at the Ken Shannon Last Chance Meet as a smaller group traveled to The Dempsey in Seattle, Wash. to face stiff competition in a meet filled with Division I programs.

QUOTING HEAD COACH KEVIN ADKISSON:

• "There were few good things, but nothing big like we were hoping in terms of improving national marks. It's always hard coming off a conference meet where you put out such big efforts and go three days later."

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• E'lexis Hollis ran a time of 7.57 seconds in the 60-meter dash prelims, finishing as the top non-Division I competitor in 16th place.
• Lauryn Chandler finished the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 9.57 seconds, good for 20th place.
• In the 400-meter race, Johan Correa finished as the top non-Division I competitor at 49.29 seconds and 31st place.
• The Men's Distance Medley team of Jack Pratapas, Logan Easley, Drew Klein, and Ty Savely finished in 5th place at 10:32.18.
• Logan Easley got 11th palace in the 60-meter hurdles prelims at 8.76 seconds.

UP NEXT:

• The Wildcats will now turn their focus to the outdoor season, starting with the Ed Boitano Invitational, hosted by the University of Puget Sound, on Mar. 3-4 in Tacoma, Wash.

• Hollis and Chandler are still in a position to qualify for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships following their performances at the GNAC Indoor Championships earlier this week. We'll know more about the qualifying group for the national championships early next week.
