SPOKANE, Wash. - The Central Washington University indoor track & field team wrapped up events at the WSU Open Saturday evening. Drew Klein and Braydon Maier tied as the team's top finishers at the meet.

QUOTING HEAD COACH KEVIN ADKISSON:

• "It was a lot of really good competition. There were good marks for sure for quite a few people. We're pretty pleased with what we saw and really looking forward to things in the next couple of weeks."

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Klein finished T-6th in the men's pole vault (4.43 meters). His score is good for second in the GNAC in the event and was a season-best for him. Klein also ran a personal record in the men's 60-meter hurdles prelims with a time of 8.66 seconds.
• Maier also placed T-6th in the men's pole vault with Klein.
• Kylie Griffin turned in a performance of 1.59 meters in the women's high jump, finishing as the top finisher on the women's side in 12th place.
• Isaiah Webster posted a pair of solid performances. He got 17th in the men's long jump (6.38 meters) and 20th in the men's high jump (1.88 meters). He also ran a personal record in the men's 200-meter race (22.75 seconds) and ran a leg of the 4x400 relay.
• In the men's triple jump, Tre Silva got 13th place with a jump of 12.81 meters, a season-best mark for Silva.
• Zoe McDevitt ran a personal record of 2:20.65 in the women's 800-meter race, good for 25th in the meet.

• With the GNAC Indoor Championships approaching, the Wildcats will travel back to Spokane, Wash. next weekend and compete in the Whitworth Invitational on Friday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, Feb. 11.
