ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington Baseball swept Montana State Billings 9-7 & 4-3 in Friday's doubleheader.
Austin Ohland led the 'Cats with a three-run homer in game one and two RBIs in game two.
QUOTING HEAD COACH DESI STOREY
"I thought Daniel did a good job of recovering he settled down after the second inning. He got back to pitching and put up some zeros for us which allowed us to put up some runs and get back into it. We did a good job getting back in the game and tying it up. Austin's homer was huge and gave us separation late in the game that allowed the guys to keep working."
"We were consistent offensively and we didn't make mistakes, that was great."
Storey added, "Alex is capable of that. It has been two years since he has thrown live, so we are trying to get his pitch count back up. I thought he pitched very well and had a great outing. We got some clutch hits and played good defense. When we are consistent like that, we can win games."
