ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington Baseball swept Montana State Billings on Saturday for the first time since 2016, winning the final two games of the series 9-8 and 9-4.
QUOTING HEAD COACH DESI STOREY
"It was similar to yesterday; we gave up runs early and fought our way back into it. Brayde kept us in the game and the offense got going a little bit. Jonathan Garza threw awesome he stayed ahead in the count landed his slider and had a great outing. The guys responded and got that one. They realized the opportunity and took it."
Desi added, "In game two, Reid got a couple of outs we gave up the lead, but the game was tied instead of us getting behind. Nolan did a great job striking out the guy to preserve the tie and then he finished the game off strong. Felton's first real college experience and he did great and came up with clutch hits. We competed and made things happen. I can't be more pleased with the guys across the board everyone had a great performance."
