ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington baseball dropped both games against Saint Martin's in their doubleheader on Friday, 6-7 and 1-7.
QUOTING DESI STOREY
"I thought we did everything we should have done to win the game, but we didn't play good defense. It is a matter of fielding the ball. We gave them three runs in the last couple of innings just because we couldn't play catch. If we get rid of any one of those errors, we win the game. Those are routine plays and must be made. That hurt us.
Desi added, "Game two we were flat, and we made a defensive mistake in the first inning that cost us three runs. Offensively we didn't get much done tip your hat to Yamashita he is a quality pitcher, but we have to adjust to him. We need to start playing consistent baseball. We will regroup and work to grind out a win tomorrow afternoon."
