ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington women's soccer fell 3-2 to Seattle Pacific in a heartbreaker on Saturday night. In the 86
th minute, Marissa Bankey netted the game winner for the Falcons from 30 yards out.

FIRST HALF
- Danika Galbraith got the start in goal for the 'Cats and shined in the first half. She made a leaping save in the 16th minute on a high shot from Seattle Pacific's Jacqueline Blakeley. Galbraith followed that up with another one in the 18th minute.
- Central stayed back and worked hard defensively, all half not generating much offensive. But that switched in the 37th minute when Paige Savage threaded a pass to Sami Huber. Huber took a touch and unleashed a shot to the right corner and into the back of the net for her first career goal to and the 1-0 lead.
- The Falcons pushed hard to close the half. Taylor Heit found space and tested Galbraith with a hard shot to the right corner, but Galbraith was up to task and dove out to make the save.
- Central Washington ended the first 45 minutes ahead 1-0.
SECOND HALF
- Tatum Zuber challenged Mercedes Cullen with a high shot in the 47th minute which Cullen steered aside. Thirty-five seconds later, Sami Huber took another shot on frame and this one snuck by Cullen extending Central Washington's lead to two.
- The Falcons finally figured out a way to get past Galbraith in the 50th minute. Lauren Forester toed the end line and found Jacqueline Blakeley, who buried it into the corner of the net.
- Seattle Pacific struck again in the 74th minute when Marissa Bankey corralled the loose ball at the top of the box and lasered it past Galbraith to tie the game at two with fifteen minutes remaining.
- In the late stages of the match, both teams missed some chances on set pieces and had shots off target.
- In the 86th minute, as a draw loomed, Marissa Bankey trapped the ball at the 30 yards out and unleashed a high arcing shot that barely snuck under the bar for the game winner.
