Box Score CHICO, Calif. - Central Washington fell 0-3 to Chico State on Thursday night at the University Soccer Stadium.
 
FIRST HALF

• Chico State came out fast early with back-to-back chances. Central responded in the 10^th minute when Tatum Zuber lifted a corner into the box, but Chico State blocked the shot and cleared it out.
• Mallory Patzer stepped up big in the 15^th minute with a good save after Piper Matson struck one from the top of the box. Patzer followed that save up with a one-handed stop five minutes later.
• Chico State capitalized in the 33^rd minute when Giana Martin corralled a deflection in the box and nailed it past Patzer for the 1-0 lead.
• Paige Savage responded for the 'Cats dribbling in and testing Hoffman who steered it aside.
• Jiana Martin jumped the back line and fired one past Patzer in the 38^th minute, extending Chico State's lead.

SECOND HALF

• Chico State earned a corner in the 58^th minute that got cleared out. Then Jaxyn Farm chased a ball in behind with a chance, but the shot skittered wide.
• In the 63^rd minute, Tatum Zuber earned a free kick, her shot sailed high and wide left.
• Ten minutes later, Mallory Patzer came up big, saving a penalty kick from Kylie Rolling. Her shot had pace on it, but Patzer batted it away.
• Casey Park took a shot low center that Emma Hoffman saved.
• Chico State drew a foul in the box in the 88^th minute. Natalie Mendoza stepped up to take the penalty kick and buried it in the lower left corner.
• Tatum Zuber and Mallory Patzer played great games for Central Washington. Zuber pushed the pace up front and continued creating scoring opportunities. Mallory Patzer made nine saves on the night and kept CWU in it.
