SEATTLE, Wash. – The women's cross country team placed eighth at the Emerald City XC Open on Saturday morning in the 6K race. They finished with a score of 141 and a total time of 2:12.45.
QUOTING HEAD COACH JONATHAN HILL
"We had a nice meet last week in Salem, so this week we gave some people a week off from racing."
"The small group we brought competed hard and took nice steps forward. Among those that had really strong days are
Quinten Jones and
Camryn Holterhoff. Both came today with something to prove, and compared to last year, performed about a minute better than a year ago on this same course. The course was tough and hilly, but we've got tough people too."
"I was really proud of Araceli today; she's going to be a really good wildcat with continued development."
