Wildcats Draw Against Yellowjackets on Senior Day

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington women's soccer team (1-9-5, 0-8-4 GNAC) tied against Montana State University Billings (6-6-4, 3-5-4 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon, 1-1. Eight Wildcats played their final home game as it was Senior Day. The Wildcat family farewelled Jordan Bartlow, Stacia Conely, Emily Darcy, Kylie Gregory, Kass Jaggard, Maggie McBroom, Lily Newberry, and Paige Savage.
 
FIRST HALF
It was a scoreless first half that saw MSUB outshot the 'Cats six to four. Jordan Bartlow received a yellow card in the 31st minute for a bad foul in the defensive half. Kass Jaggard made back-to-back crucial saves in the 37th minute to keep the game level. Maggie McBroom had the lone shot on target for CWU.
 
SECOND HALF
McBroom found the breakthrough for the 'Cats in the 49th minute as she rifled a shot past the keeper on an assist from Ava Shiflett to give CWU the lead. In the 83rd minute, Jamie Maas calmly placed the ball in the bottom corner of the net off an assist from Monica Brown to tie the game. Jaggard made six saves and showed her defensive abilities with countless efforts to deny MSUB. The 'Cats were outshot 11 to five, but their defensive awareness kept them in the game. McBroom led all Wildcats with three shots attempted and teammates Kylee Gregory and Paige Savage each had two shots attempted.
 
UP NEXT
Your Wildcats travel to Monmouth, Oregon on Thursday, November 7th to face Western Oregon. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the WOU Soccer Field. The road trip continues as the 'Cats travel to Lacey, Wash on Saturday, November 9th to face Saint Martin's in the final game of the regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Saints Field. Make sure to come out and show your support for the Crimson and Black as conference play concludes.
