ABOUT THE MEET
After spending the entire year on the road, the Wildcats bring the competition to home track. That competition looks to be fierce as eight of the nine track & field teams in GNAC are set to compete in Ellensburg as a preview ahead of the 2024 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in May.
The all-day meet will kick off with the women's hammer throw starting at 9:00am. Field events and preliminary rounds of the track events will take place throughout most of the morning and midday. Action on the track will heat up at 3:30pm with the finals of the women's 3000m steeplechase and run until 6:45pm ending off with the men's 4x400m relay.
In the field, look for reigning GNAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week, Wes Kriete, to put up some big marks in the throws. Alongside Kriete look out for GNAC event leaders Wyatt Franklin, Drew Klein, Emy Ntekpere, and Isaiah Webster to put up some impressive marks of their own.
On the track, keep an eye out for GNAC 100m & 200m leader, E'lexis Hollis, to run some quick times behind the infamous Ellensburg wind. GNAC event leaders Elise Hopper, Johan Correa, Lauryn Chandler, Aiden Wise, Josh Boast, and Ellie DeGroot will also look to tear up home track.
