ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Central Washington University men's basketball team (8-4, 2-0 GNAC) begins the second half of the 2024-25 season as they travel to Nampa, Idaho to take on the Northwest Nazarene University Nighthawks (9-1, 2-0 GNAC) on Saturday, Jan 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST.

PREVIOUSLY FOR THE 'CATS
The Wildcats had a strong start to their season, going 8-4 and 2-0 in conference play. Central won its two conference matchups, dominating Simon Fraser 91-65 on Dec 5 and coming from behind to defeat their rival Western Washington 79-76 on Dec 7.
The 'Cats are led by
Cavin Holden, who leads in points (167, 13.9 ppg), and assists (54), and
Garrett Anderson, who follows closely in points with 166, and leads the team in rebounds with 74 total boards. Holden and
Maverick Sanders both lead in steals with 17 each, and Sanders and
Calvin Sisk lead the team in blocks with 15.
ABOUT THE NIGHTHAWKS
Northwest Nazarene has seen a stellar start to its season with an overall record of 9-1 and a conference record of 2-0. The Nighthawks' only loss was to Westmont College, losing to the Warriors 82-84 in overtime on Nov 22.
The Nighthawks are led by Kye Dickson, who has recorded 177 points and 70 rebounds. Other leaders for Northwest Nazarene include Yaru Harvey (45 assists), Briggs Ranstrom (12 blocks), and Ryzin Bergersen (18 steals).
